You’ll also receive an update after each visit, so you’ll know we were there, what we did, and how your water tested.
El Dorado Hills has hot, dry summers, mature oak and pine trees, foothill wind, pollen, dust, and periods of wildfire smoke. All of those can affect your pool.
Summer heat increases evaporation and chlorine demand. Oak leaves, acorns, pine needles, pollen, and grass clippings add organic material to the water and can quickly fill skimmer baskets and filters. Wind and smoke can leave fine particles that make the water look dull or cloudy.
Winter brings a different set of problems. Heavy rain can dilute pool chemistry, raise the water level, and change pH, alkalinity, salt, stabilizer, and calcium levels.
That’s why we don’t follow the exact same chemical routine every week. We test the water, look at what’s happening around the pool, and adjust the service based on what the pool needs.
Starting at $175 per month

Balancing the water chemistry

Visually checking the equipment
Watching for algae and water-quality problems
Sending a service update after each visit
With this plan, the homeowner remains responsible for skimming, brushing, vacuuming, emptying baskets, and other physical cleaning.

Your filter removes dust, pollen, leaves, oils, and fine particles from the water. As that material builds up, circulation can slow down and filter pressure can rise.
Our filter-cleaning service covers cartridge, D.E., and sand filters. Depending on the filter, service may include:
Opening and disassembling the filter
Cleaning cartridges or D.E. grids
Inspecting internal parts for visible damage
Reassembling the filter correctly
Checking the pressure after startup
Chemical deep cleaning when needed
Sand filters may occasionally need their filter media replaced. We’ll let you know if the sand appears worn out or if the filter isn’t working properly.

Summer heat and evaporation
El Dorado Hills’ long, hot summers can cause pools to lose water quickly. Higher water temperatures and strong sunlight can also increase chlorine demand.
We watch the sanitizer level, stabilizer, pH, alkalinity, and overall water balance instead of assuming last week’s chemical dose will still be correct.
Oak leaves, acorns, and pine needles
The native oaks and pines seen around Wild Oaks Park, New York Creek, and many established neighborhoods are part of what makes El Dorado Hills beautiful. They can also create plenty of pool debris.
Leaves, acorns, needles, pollen, and small pieces of bark can clog baskets, restrict water flow, stain surfaces, and increase the amount of chlorine the pool needs.
Foothill dust, wind, smoke, and ash
Dry wind can carry fine dust and pollen into the water. During wildfire-smoke events, ash and other small particles can settle on the pool’s surface and collect in the filter.
After these events, a pool may need additional skimming, circulation, water testing, or filter attention.
Winter rain
Rainwater can dilute chlorine, salt, stabilizer, calcium, and other parts of the water balance. It can also wash dirt and landscaping material into the pool.
We continue testing and caring for pools during the cooler months because clear winter water can still become unbalanced.
Changing fill-water conditions
Many El Dorado Hills homes receive water through the El Dorado Irrigation District, but fill-water chemistry can still vary between properties and water sources.
We test the water at the pool instead of making assumptions based on a citywide hardness number.

Yes. Pools still need circulation, sanitation, water testing, and equipment checks during winter. Rain, leaves, cooler water, and reduced run times can all affect water balance and circulation.
They can create problems if allowed to build up. Leaves, acorns, and pine needles can block baskets, restrict circulation, stain pool surfaces, and add organic material that consumes chlorine.
Keep the circulation system running if the equipment is operating normally, remove surface debris, and avoid stirring material from the floor unnecessarily. The water and filter should be checked because fine ash can increase filter pressure and make the water cloudy.
The schedule depends on the filter type, pool use, nearby landscaping, and filter pressure. Pools surrounded by oaks, pines, or dusty landscaping may need more frequent filter cleaning. We use the pressure and condition of the filter to help determine when service is needed.
Yes. Saltwater pools still need weekly testing, proper water balance, equipment checks, and periodic salt-cell inspection.
